‘Best College Award’ by Savitribai Phule Pune University in 2014-15, DST-FIST Schemes (2017), DBT Star College status (2018), Public Biodiversity Register ( PBR) for Shirur Tahsil (2019) are some of the achievements of Chandmal Tarachand Bora College. Recently, the college has celebrated Golden Jubilee year during the academic year 2017-18. The Shirur Shikshan Prasarak Mandal always supports all the schools and colleges for the various innovative and societal activities and provides the best in terms of infrastructure and holistic environment for the academic excellence.

Shirur Shikshan Prasarak Mandal’s Chandmal Tarachand Bora College of Arts, Commerce and Science is a renowned college in rural Maharashtra imparting quality higher education to the students under the aegis of Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune. This college strictly adheres to the Vision and Motto of the college to foster/to promote overall development and provide skill-based quality education to the aspiring youth. With competent teaching and non-teaching staff, traditional and professional courses, best infrastructure, techno-savvy ambience, ever increasing job-oriented courses, career counseling, we impart higher education and enable students realize and accomplish their dreams and inculcate human values to make them better human beings. The college has also a well-maintained library over 95000 books, Journal and Magazines, Research Centers, Computer Labs, Language Lab, an International level Badminton Hall, Sports ground, Hostels for both boys and girls, Media Centre to make available all the facilities for the students who aspire for higher education.

Chandmal Tarachand Bora College started ‘Rasiklal M. Dhariwal General Knowledge Examination’ to introduce the nature of competitive examinations for High-school children from 1997 and ‘MY Mother in My College’, one of the best and innovative activity is organized every year in the college. The college which is stepping into its 56th year of establishment aims to impart quality education in all core disciplines of knowledge by developing leaders who are confident, smart, intelligent, gifted and engaged with life from books to sports.

Chandmal Tarachand Bora College of Arts, Commerce and Science, Shirur (Ghodnadi) established in 1968 by Shirur Shikshan Prasarak Mandal with a vision and motto to open the doors of higher education to the students of rural areas which spread across more than Thirteen Acres of land with Green Campus. It has Fourteen undergraduate and Ten postgraduate departments and research centers. Our college has always been a front runner in introducing several new professional job-oriented courses and innovative activities like ‘AVISHKAR’, ‘My Mother in My College’, ‘Friendship with Books’, ‘Reading Club’ keeping in mind the changing scenario of higher education and the world.One of the challenges is to bridge the gap between academia, R & D and Industry on this background, our college is not only providing education to graduate, postgraduate, M.Phil/Ph.D students but also the overall development including skill development, research projects, need based and skill based courses and various social activities. Right from its inception, the college has contributed substantially in producing good meritorious students who are doing extremely well in their respective fields. Measures taken by the Hon. Management, contribution of the teaching and non-teaching staff, alumni and reciprocative and enthusiastic participation of students in the college is the main reason of all the achievements of the college till date.
